The annual Dulwich Hill Street Fair is on this weekend with the theme of ‘Creating Community’. Marrickville Road and Seaview Street will be filled with entertainment, children’s activities and rides, demonstrations and workshops, and a wide range of stalls.

I’ve just read on Inhabit about a fabulous book called D.I.Y Kids by Ellen and Julia Lupton.
It engages kids in making stuff, from binding their own books to sewing their own clothes. The activities are intended for ages 7–12, yet they could be modified to suit other ages… or the book could be kept for a very long time.
