Nursery Rhyme Cupcakes

nursery rhyme cupcake
You may picture yourself - in the future - for your child’s first cake stall at school. You think… lamingtons! butterfly cakes! toffees! … recalling your own distant childhood. But never in your wildest dreams did you imagine cakes of this calibre…

What you need is a distant relative or friend named Chris! Twelve or so years of practice, sugarcraft classes and a dash of obsession brings to life delightfully creative cakes that look as good as they taste. Be sure to check out the rest of her nursery rhyme cupcakes and the Noah’s Ark Christening cake.

Technology in Children’s Art

Laptop ClubChildren drawing technology is not a new thing, after all, some of us did grow up with the Commodore 64. Regardless, it still astound me. The laptop club is a collection of laptops designed by seven- to nine-year-olds.

“Even with relatively little exposure to computers, these children have absorbed ideas about shopping online, interacting socially with virtual pets and real friends, and even media convergence with their favorite movies and songs loaded on the laptops,” says Amy Tiemann.

Interview: Sydney photographer Garry Trinh

Same SameSame Same | Saturday 11th June 2005

I was flying to a conference in Hong Kong with a friend and with people that I’d yet to meet. As I greeted them for the first time I noticed someone taking photos of the scene. Standing in the queue. Seated on the plane. Who was this guy? It was Garry Trinh.
