Bairro Português - Petersham Food & Wine Fair

Portuguese Petersham Food and Wine FairBairro Português Petersham Food and Wine Fair has become one of Sydney’s best cultural celebrations, with a fantastic mix of food, wine and entertainment that is a true feast for all senses.

The entertainment stage will feature the colour and vibrancy of local Portuguese folkloric groups as they perform traditional dances accompanied by traditional instruments, along with Brazilian dancers, local Portuguese musicians, and for the first time at Bairro, an International headline act - Portuguese performer Chico Avila, from the United States.

Children’s activities will include art and craft workshops themed to Portuguese images, including the traditional Rooster, alongside free face painting.

Sydney’s Chinese New Year Parade

Sydney Chinese New Year ParadeCelebrate the Year of the Rat with the Chinese New Year Parade.

For the first time the Parade will be divided into themes and colours representing key elements within Sydney’s Chinese community. New floats, more performers with beautiful costumes and the huge Chinese New Year lanterns, will make this an event to remember.
